Childhood
• Theseus grew up in the countryside with his parents and little brother. Their mother was a Hippogryff breeder, while their father helped design interiors.
• As children, him and his brother used to be the bestest of friends. Theseus had always dreamt of having a little brother he could teach things to and play with, so whenever Newt requested his help for any beastly quest in the garden, he joyfully obliged. It was only after Newt joined Hogwarts and Theseus started his training as an Auror that their relationship started degrading.
Hogwarts
• He was sorted into Hufflepuff, like his mother, and like his brother would be a few years later. On his fifth year, he also became a prefect, taking his mission of looking after his fellow Hufflepuffs very seriously. Though surprising to the people who know him now, he was known to be lenient and let the troublemakers get away with quite a lot. he judged himself of what he thought was a deserved punishment or not, and… well, he wasn’t always the most rule-abiding student either. But that’s a secret.
• His teachers loved him for his dedication, interest and hard work. He was often taken as the example of how a great student and classmate should be. Kind, charismatic, the other students really had no reason to dislike him; except maybe those who believed this perfect facade was hiding something else, and those who were jealous.
• Over his years in Hogwarts, Theseus came to become closely linked to the Silver Spears, a secret club of duellists, usually from pureblood families. Their members, and most importantly their club leader, Fred Leighton, were involved in odd schemes crafted to raise hell, often at the expense of other students. Theseus found himself as the only prefect who actively tried to stop them, and who truly believed the club existed - it was meant to be secret, after all. He never managed to catch them in the act or have them punished.
• Before he even became a prefect, Theseus was first known as an excellent Quidditch chaser of the Hufflepuff team. They won the house cup on the year he joined after a long lose streak, which attracted quite a lot of attention on him. Girls attention, as well. He became the kind, sweet, dreamy guy most of them more or less had a crush on. Maggie Carmichael was one of these girls. Also in the Hufflepuff Quidditch team, she first admired Theseus’ skills at the sports, and slowly grew to like him. She was two years behind him, though they somewhat became friends practising the sport together, especially since Theseus was already a friend of her older brothers.
• On the much awaited occasion of the Yule Ball, many girls tried to ask him to go to the dance with them. Maggie as well. She wrote him a note, but ended up asking her brothers to deliver it, too shy to do it herself. Even though David and Francis Carmichael knew Theseus well and had nothing against him, they were also very protective of Maggie. They never gave him the note, and Maggie was forever left to believe he simply ignored her. After this, she told herself it was better to move on and forget about him. Theseus went to the Yule Ball with another girl from their house, who then became his girlfriend for the rest of his years at Hogwarts.
• Dumbledore once had quite an interesting relation with Theseus. He took a liking to the boy, and became sort of a mentor to him. He liked how driven he was; solely by his desire to do the right thing. After Theseus left Hogwarts, he kept in touch for a while but eventually became too busy to keep up with him. He became distant with the transfiguration teacher, his choice fuelled by all the rumours passing around the Ministry about Dumbledore.

Training as an Auror, and the War
• Their family had a massive fallout following Newt's expulsion from Hogwarts. Though the tension between them had been building up for a few years prior, this was the incident that made it happen. Now all grown-up, Theseus found his brother's odd obsessions with magical creatures nothing more than childish, and had started resenting him for not making any effort to grow up and fit in properly with others.
The night they found out Newt had been dismissed, the argument between Newt and their father grew so intense that Newt chose to leave the house. Theseus still feels guilty to this day about not having defended his brother from their father's threats. After Newt's departure, the family was left broken.
• In the years that lead to the argument, Theseus had already began changing significantly from the boy he was back at Hogwarts. His father pushing him hard to succeed forced him to grow up fast, and leave the ounce of rebellion he had in him behind for good.
Pushed by him to solely focus on his work life, Theseus became eager to make a good impression and earn his superiors' trust. Very quickly well-liked at the office, the price to pay became the bridges he had to burn to get there. He lost contact with all of his friends from Hogwarts who didn't become Ministry workers, and was mainly referred by them as a 'major snob'.
• The War would, like to many men of his generation, leave a permanent mark on him after all the horrors he witnessed on the battlefield. Even though he finds no pride in it, Theseus became renowned as one of the Wizarding Community's war hero. Unbeknownst to him, this is where he first saw Maggie Carmichael again. She was serving as a French healer, and once took care of Theseus’ wounds. He doesn’t recall the encounter.
Becoming head Auror
• After the War, the Auror office greatly suffered from the many lost lives and injuried soldiers. With so little people left to keep it afloat, some people needed to take charge and keep everything working effectively. Theseus became part of those people, and worked as a team with others to deal with the damages the War had left behind.
Once the current head Auror retired, Theseus was appointed in his place. No one could possibly emit any objection, as Theseus' career had been completely flawless so far.
• This was something entirely new for him, and he struggled for a long time before finding the right balance of how to treat the other Aurors while keeping their respect.
• Being so head-deep in his work didn't leave a lot of time for relationships. He dated a few women, more or less successfully, but no relationship truly had the potential to grow because of his work habits.
That was until he got to know Leta, one of Newt's only friend, better.
Their relationship flourished rapidly, spending a lot of time together over a short period of time. Their chemistry was great, gentle friendly teasing soon evolving into flirting. Theseus then helped her find a job at the Ministry, meaning they were now spending most of their time together.
Post Crimes of Grindelwald

• The operation during Grindelwald's rallye turned out to be a fiasco, and Theseus lost quite a lot on that night. Many of his fellow Aurors died by the acolytes' hand, or chose to join Grindelwald's rank instead and cross the blue fire. But the biggest loss of that night was the death of his fiancée, Leta Lestrange, who sacrified herself to save him and his brother Newt. To this day still, Theseus feels guilts about how the operation went, as he was the one who led the Aurors and gave the orders then.
• Grief and guilt ate at Theseus for months on end after Paris, which eventually brought him closer to long-time Hogwarts accquaintance Maggie Carmichael. She'd lost one of her brother at the rallye, and to have someone who shared a similar experience to him to talk to was a great relief.
• The pair eventually grew closer, and became romantically involved. One year after sharing their first kiss, Theseus would ask her to marry him.
